Baby Pool Winner

We Proudly Present
Erin arrived at 5:53 p.m. Friday, December 14th, weighing in at 8 lbs. 2 oz. She was 21 inches long.

Make Room for Baby!
Looks like Erin will most likely be born on Friday, December 14!
Grace has been scheduled for an induction and is to be at the hospital before dawn on Friday.

Way Back When Quiz Answers and Results

The person with the most answers right was Todd's sister, Erica, who only missed one question. Since Erica had a huge advantage, growing up with Todd and all, (sorry Erica!), we decided that the prize would go to the runner-up, and to our surprise, there were TWO people who only missed two questions. The prizes will be awarded to Jenny Hollenbaugh and Lisa Spiegel. Way to go, ladies! (Lisa, you'll get your prize at this week's Brownie meeting, and Jenny, you'll get yours at the family Christmas party:)

An Entry by Grace
Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that we had our gift opening lunch last week and had a great time. It was just a small affair, with my mom and my sister, Mary, in attendance, which is probably a good thing, because between my stomach and the gifts, there wasn't room for anyone else!
Most of the gifts that were sent were opened at the restaurant, though a few were either too big or not with us at the time, and were opened by Todd and me at home this past weekend. I'll post pictures below, along with descriptions of the great stuff we got.
While I'm here, I'd like to again thank Todd's office for the surprise shower they threw for Erin a couple of weeks ago. It was a really fun afternoon and we appreciated it very much.
My due date looms ahead~ only five days! My midwife said she would induce labor this coming weekend if Erin hasn't made her appearance by then. At my last appointment, she said I was "measuring large". No suprise there, as my other two kids were 9 pounders.
Todd and I are ready and anxious for the big day to arrive. Thanks to everyone for all of the well-wishes, the gifts, the offers to help and the support you've shown us.
Hopefully the next posting here will include pictures of our newborn Erin!

Baby Shower Update
Just wanted to let everyone know the date we've set for the gift opening. It will be Wednesday, December 5th at 1:00 at the Cheesecake Factory in Greenwood. Anyone who wishes to join us is welcome, but you'll need to let us know in advance so we can save you a seat, (and some cheesecake!)
So far the response to this baby shower blog has been...underwhelming. We've had only ONE person respond to the quiz and three respond to the baby poll. It was just discovered that you had to have a Google account to leave a comment in the Guestbook area, but that has been changed to allow anyone to comment. Simply check the "anonymous" box, but make sure to put your type your name in the comment area. Grace had hoped to print off the blog pages and use them in her baby scrapbook, so please take a moment to say a few words to her and Todd, (and Erin!). It would be most appreciated and would help to get her mind off of her swollen ankles:) You'll find the guestbook below. Also, don't forget it's not too late to email your guesses for the quiz and the poll.
Our mom told us she had some trouble sending an email to gibsongirls07@gmail.com. We've received other email at that address, so it is working for others, but if you have any trouble with it, please write to Mary at marydnnp@yahoo.com.

Welcome to the online shower for Baby Erin!
Parents Grace George and Todd Barnes are anxiously awaiting their little bundle of joy sometime next month. Erin's due date is December 15, 2007.
We decided to bring the shower to you, because there are many friends and family members who are unable to travel to us at this time.
Several people have expressed their desire to send Erin a gift, so we will include registry information below, then on a date in the near future, (to be announced), Grace and Todd will gather the gifts, open them, and have Aunt Mary take pictures, so that everyone can enjoy seeing them. Gifts should be mailed to Grace & Todd's home, where they'll remain boxed/wrapped until the Opening Date. If you need the mailing address, just ask Mary where to send the package, and she'll email you the information. Look for her email address below.
